adding some colour to the week…

Hello, and since there’s been so much talk about blue Monday this week I wanted to add some colour to the blue Monday week, today I want to talk all things confetti. In my view the confetti pictures from a wedding are some of the best you can get, colour filling the air and the happy couple walking beneath it.

For me natural petals were the way forward, they just look so beautiful in pictures! In my search for the perfect petals I have stumbled across this brilliant supplier who hand makes some of the most beautiful confetti I have seen. Check out all of Deemas Confetti here. Check my instagram out for some of the beautiful colours and some of the pre-mixes Deema has available! If you have something particular in mind, Deema can also create your own personal bespoke confetti! I really can’t explain what beautiful colours and look these flowers have. For all my lovely reader Deema is giving 10% discount using the code ROSIE so you can have beautiful petals and save some pennies! Click here and claim your discount now!

This is my number 1 favourite confetti, the larger flower petals mean now small bits of confetti stuck in your hair or dress. It falls beautifully too!

This is the direct link to these hidden gem petals, also available in different colours.

I hope that this has helped in finding your confetti supplier! For more sprinklings of petals, check out my instagram, by clicking here

New Year New #WeddingWednesday

Hey,

Here’s to 2018, the year I get to have my special day, and 1 year since I got engaged! WOW time really has flown by. Huge congratulations to all the Happy couples out there who got engaged over the festive period! It’s such an exciting time. – I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I am and you find these posts useful.

Today I want to talk save the dates, when should these be sent out? Who should I send them to?

We gave all our save the dates out last year, mostly (because we had time on our side) we handed them to people in person, I was so excited we started handing them out around May last year, around 18 months before the wedding. Coming from a design background myself and my MOH hand made our save the dates, I had such fun doing it! (See picture below).

Now in my excitement and naivety I thought it would help, however now with less than a year to go we both keep getting asked to remind people of the date. So I guess my top tip on your save the dates would be to send them out at 1 year to go. That way it builds excitement and it’s easier for people to remember the date a year in advance.

There is no strict rule when it comes to save the dates, who should they be sent to etc. I recently saw a great idea in a wedding feed, sending save the date and save the evening cards. The choice is however yours! – please comment and let me know your thoughts on save the dates! I’m a real bride and only go on my own experiences!

Hello January

Well Christmas and New year Flew by didn’t it just? As most of you probably know from my Social Media Sites I was lucky enough to have got engaged! So January for me so far has been pedal to the metal organising and planning, who knew you had to book a venue and service like 2 years in advance? Crazy! but so Exciting
So much for my quiet January this year…

So as you do in January January, I have set myself a few blogging goals this year, which I wanted to share with you all to get me started!

Goal 1: Blog fortnightly! – no more hit and miss blog posts once every 2 Months! I am aiming for consistency.. (lets face it I am going to need a break from all this planning)

Goal 2: Be more socially active. This means “hello…I’ll be popping up in blogger chats on twitter”

Goal 3: Grow my online following by 10% – I’m hoping this will come from more consistent blog posts and increasing my engagement going to blogger chats. (fingers crossed)

So that’s me! What are your goals this year?

Halkidiki, Greece

Hey long time no speak! I have just come back from a truly beautiful holiday with Josh. It was a week long in what felt like paradise! We flew into Thessaloniki, Greece last Thursday, from there we hired a car and drove to the first peninsular (Kassandra) it was around an hour and a hal drive, but so easy. We arrived late at night to the hotel in Pefkohori Anna Maria Paradise – the area really was a paradise. We woke up earliest ate a buffet breakfast at the hotel and headed to the beach straight away. What a beautiful site, white beaches and beautiful blue clear seas!

From there we also then walked into the town where we discovered ice creams were only €1 this made it for us the rest of the holiday was filled with ice creams! They were very delicious too.

We then walked along to the end of the prominade and stopped in a restaurant called Asterias for a light lunch. It was cheap, delicious and a big portion, we ordered a Greek salad each and this filled us right up. Yum!

The next few days were spent in the clear blue waters, sipping cocktails in the beautiful sunshine. It was so lovely and relaxing, we spent a day on a boat that we rented out exploring the coastline from a different angle, this was such great fun – and cheap too!

yes I was driving

We also took a day out to the other side of the peninsular where we went to a sulphur spa – not going to lie I forgot what sulphur smelt like until I went there and it’s not a pleasant smell at all, think rotten egg. None the less we gave it a go, we did only last no longer than 5mins. Then we headed straight to the nearest beach where we did some snorkelling and checked out some of the amazing views.

That evening we treated ourselves to a delicious meal out to trip advisors number #3 restaurant called Bakalis, right on the sea front it was a brilliant location . Where we ordered veg, salad and seafood, there was just so much, we ended up with a table full of food which we both gradually throughout the night made it through. It was slightly pricier here but well worth it. All the food was booming with flavour!  We then took a night walk along the beach and back to our hotel where the Greeks were having a party at the bar that we were invited to join in on, so much fun glasses getting smashed (in true Greek style) and shots flowing!

Our time was nearly up in this beautiful part of the world, we spent our last day in a slightly different way, in Thessaloniki the second city of Greece. A lovely place (very hot) but lots to see, the old walls of the city (what’s left) that were built BC, Aristole square and the White Tower. Some great sites to visit and really we didn’t have enough time to explore the markets and more of the city.

All I can do is massively recommend this place to go and explore we found so much out, history and culture as well as the tourist things to go and do. The people, are lovely and just so helpful too!

Going to ride my bike until I get home…

BobbinThis week has been so busy for me (hence only getting up one post. Sorry!) I went to my first ever silent disco – yes it was amazing, and from videos I now know my singing skills aren’t quite what I thought the were… I also brought a bike so that I can start riding my bike to work, rather than getting the tube. It has knackered me out however I absolutely love it. Lots of fresh air and a great way to start and end the day! Here she is (seen on the left) … name suggestions anyone?

I was very worried on my first day of cycling that it was going to be very dangerous, however with plenty of cycle lanes I have loved every minute of it especially when I am going through the parks! I do also have a helmet and lots of high-Vis and I think this helps feeling safe!

As an extra to my bike I have just brought this bag! Can’t wait to review it when it arrives. It simply fits onto the back of the bike!

Here’s to week 2! Do any of you cycle to work? Have you got any tips?

The new kid on the block

bus card copySo Monday was my first time attending a blogger event, and it was just so much fun. Being so new to blogging I was lucky enough to be a plus one for  Khrissieloves. It was a great way for myself as a newbie to get to meet lots of different food brands and create some great connections.
If you are new to blogging and off to your first blogging event one necessity to take along is a business card with email, blog address and twitter handle, you can see mine on the left.

Everyone at the event was so friendly, So make sure you’re ready to chat until your heart is content!

Something I would like to remember to do next time is take lots of photo’s, I don’t feel like I took enough this time!
I can’t wait for my next event to make some more new friends and try some more new products. Watch out for my first ever product review this week, any hints and tips from fellow bloggers please drop me a comment!

Yoga bunnies

Myself and my great friend, Khrissie have recently taken up hot yoga. As part of our training. I have got to say it’s great in many ways, relaxation and flexibility for me so far anyway. A tip that has definitely  helped me is making sure I am drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Without this I know I would have suffered. I am completely new to yoga and I am only going once a week at the moment but it is making a difference to my running training as well and helping me to increase my stride and run faster.  Most hot yoga companies run an induction programme so all I can say is go and try it out and let me know what you think.
