#weddingwednesday

How did that come round so quickly??

So following on from last weeks photography, I thought this week it’d be great to think about videography! This is something a lot of people go with out (or so it seems) having spoken with a lot of married friends, it was quite clear those who didn’t have a videographer were fairly gutted that they didn’t have a video to re-watch such a magical day. After a fair bit of consideration, and watching back a Friends wedding video, we realized this was something we had to have! Having already chosen our photographer, we felt that taking some industry expert advice would be a great place to start and also wanted to ensure our photographer and videographer worked in synergy.

Again I returned to google sheets (I told you in the first post they would be handy) and also did some research into some other local videographers. Watching so many wedding videos, not going to lie I became an emotional wreck, haha! However the videos that evoked that emotion we’re the ones we perused. We loved the videographer our photographer recommended and not long after had a Skype call. Alex Haynes from wedding memories, was so calm, cool and collective it was a really comforting thing. Check out Alex yourselves here.

  1. This weeks tips: Invest in a videographer to re-live your day
  2. Make sure the videographer and photographer work together – you don’t want fights over the perfect shot (if they haven’t met make sure they’d be comfortable working together)
  3. Look at lots of videographers to work out the style that you think will work best with your day!
